Sexyy Red and Summer Walker team up for “Sense dat God gave you”

Summer Walker seems to be having some fun with the music she’s making right now. She has teamed up with Sexy Red for a brand-new song titled “Sense dat God gave you,” which sees her attempt to rap for the first time on her latest single. It was released yesterday (November 22). It seems the Atlanta star is about to prove that she’s all about getting to the bag whatever way it takes over some bass-heavy production:

In order to diversify her sound for her latest drop, Summer Walker decided to dive into hip-hop since she made it clear to fans on social media that there will be no more bars from Walker in the future as she has stated publicly in the past: “ I don’t consider myself a rapper (as she laughs)…. I just wanted to get into the hood rat game and do some stuff with my friend.”

In the month of March, the last time Walker released an official studio album was a year ago. Still Over It consists of 20 songs, featuring contributions from Omarion, SZA, Cardi B, JT, Lil Durk, Ari Lennox, Pharrell Williams, and Ciara. In its debut week, the album reached the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart with 166,000 album-equivalent units, placing it at the top of the list. As a result of her singing career, the “Playing Games” talent can now be heard on a variety of songs such as Ari Lennox “Queen Space,” The Weeknd “Best Friends (Remix),” Kendrick Lamar “Purple Hearts,” and Quavo and Takeoff “Mixy.”
